HISTORY

After the release on Rockhouse not much happened apart from a terrible gig in December '94 for Rockhouse - too much drinking - !! In 1995 - 1997 we just did the odd local gig with various line-ups. In 1998 I met Dave, Bugsy and Billy who I would record our second CD single with. Dave did all the work for that one. Sorting out the deal and studio, etc. It was released on a small indie label in november '99. We did a few gigs. Then in February 2000 Dave quit saying he was too old!?! He now plays in a T-Rex tribute band!!!
I was now totally fed up with bands and didn't want to do anything.
Around May/June, I bumped into Bugsy at a party who told me he was going to apply to a local arts council for a lotery grant to do some demo's for his new band. A couple of months later I saw him again and he said he had been successful.
Thinking about this I decided to apply myself and after a chat with Alan Wilson I pushed on with my application. In January 2001 I got the green light to do some demos with arts council lottery cash.
I phoned Alan Wilson and told him that I had got the grant but I was fed up with local musicians and local studio's.
No problem, I'll sort out a backing band and record at Western Star, which is the best studio I have ever been in with an engineer who knows and understands what you want.
The 'backing' band he sorted out was Ben Turner (Drums), Steve Eaton (Guitar), Steve Whitehouse (Slap Bass/Backing Vocals) and Alan also on guitar.
The session was so relaxed and everyone had a laugh recording the three tracks.
After I had returned home I had to show the arts/lottery people what I had done with the money. They were so impressed that they gave me some more cash to put towards releasing it ourselves and in August 2001, "Take Your Punishment" was released on Puerto Rican Porn Dealer Records on limited edition CD single. Since then we have had quite a bit of interest and Crazy Love Records want the same team to do a full CD album this year!!
Stay tuned!
